For Parkland at the Gardens in Burlington, Ontario, we worked with designer Karen Dixon of Design Build Solutions on a Wall Strata installation that anchors the residence’s main lobby seating area.
The piece brings together three finishes: deep black iris, warm bronze, and soft grey opal, in a single layered composition mounted directly to a figured burl wood architectural panel. The discs range from small accent pieces to larger statement forms, approximately five feet across in total, arranged in an organic cluster that reads as both sculptural and considered.
Parkland at the Gardens is part of a growing body of work we’ve completed with Design Build Solutions for senior living communities across Ontario and the Maritimes. Each residence presents its own palette and spatial context; the Burlington installation called for depth and warmth against the richness of the wood millwork.
