A residential commission for a penthouse in Windsor, in collaboration with interior design consultant Bonnie L. Coutinho — the second project Soffi Studio has completed alongside her, following a lobby feature wall installation at Windsor Chapel.
The brief called for a sculptural centrepiece that could anchor an open-plan living space without interrupting sight lines between the living and dining areas. Soffi Studio supplied a collection of twelve hand-blown Wisp sculptures and fabricated a custom display platform to house them: a light box with a frosted glass top, LED underlighting, and a dark bronze patina metal finish.
The light box dissolves at eye level, leaving the glass to read as the focal point. The Wisps — in yellow, orange, teal, blue, and green — shift dramatically through the day, the lake view and fireplace becoming part of the composition as ambient light changes from afternoon to evening.
