For the Toronto offices of SGH Design Partners, we installed a Wall Cells composition in mirrored silver, smokey topaz, and grey, commissioned through art consultant Rachel Doner Turrin.
The pieces are arranged in a loose horizontal wave along a white wall in the boardroom area, denser at the left, dispersing gradually toward the right, with size varying across the composition from large anchor pieces down to small accent forms. The mirrored finish picks up the warm tones of the exposed wood beam ceiling above and reflects the room back at slightly distorted angles, the smokey topaz and grey pieces grounding the composition without breaking its cohesion.
The setting is an open ceiling, industrial detailing, clean white walls is a good match for the Cell form, which holds its own in a work environment without demanding the kind of dramatic backdrop a hospitality space might provide. Completed 2026.
