For Line 5 Condominiums in Toronto, we produced three custom Wisp forms for a recessed travertine niche in a common area of the building, commissioned through art consultant Rachel Doner Turrin.
The pieces are blown in a custom colour combination of opal white and whiskey, the warm amber tone concentrated toward the upper tips of each form where the glass thins and the colour intensifies. At approximately 40 to 48 inches tall, the three Wisps nearly fill the height of the niche, their silhouettes distinct but compositionally unified.
The travertine setting, stacked stone at the niche interior, large format tile on the surrounding wall, provides a quiet, material-rich backdrop that lets the glass do its work without competition.
